德国医学博士，美国加州大学 (UCLA) 博士后，主任医师，教授，博士生导师。东南大学胰腺研究所所长、糖脂代谢中心主任，东南大学附属中大医院院长助理、内分泌科主任。江苏省“333 高层次人才培养工程”（二层次，中青年领军人才），江苏省“六大人才高峰”，江苏省医学重点人才，省“六个一工程”高层次人才。担任中华医学会心身医学分会青委会副主委、中华医学会糖尿病学分会青委、中国医师协会内分泌代谢科医师分会委员、江苏省医学会糖尿病学分会副主委、江苏省医学会医学科研分会副主委、江苏省免疫学会内分泌与免疫专委会主委、南京医学会内分泌学分会副主委。现任国家自然科学基金委重点项目函审以及二审专家、教育部博士学位论文评审专家、SCI 前沿期刊特邀主编。
专攻胰腺内、外分泌疾病与胰岛功能损伤研究，担任国家工信部 5G+ 健康医疗课题负责人，国家科技部重点研发干细胞专项子课题负责人，主持国家自然基金-重点国际合作等项目 6 项、主持江苏省重点研发计划-临床前沿、新型临床诊疗技术项目 2 项，主持江苏省卫健委重点项目。在 Nature 子刊等发表 SCI 论文 70 余篇。以第一完成人分别获国家教育部科技进步奖二等奖、中华医学科技奖二等奖、江苏医学科技奖一等奖、江苏省新技术引进一等奖，江苏省“青年科技奖”获得者。积极推进医工结合与创新转化，申报/授权国家发明专利 12 项。
