主要从事交通信号控制、智能计算、交通流预测、交通信息智能处理、交通事件自动检测、驾驶行为分析等研究,主持国家自然基金资助课题2项、国家人事部留学人员科技活动项目择优资助项目、国家博士后科学基金资助项目、江苏省博士后科学基金资助项目、江苏省科技支撑计划、国家高技术研究发展计划(863计划)子课题等多项,作为主要技术骨干参加国家、省、部级项目多项。在国内外核心期刊上累计发表学术论文100多篇,被SCI、EI和ISTP检索系统收录80多篇,已获发明专利授权9项。2010年获教育部高等学校科技进步二等奖,2012年获国家科学技术进步奖二等奖、中国智能交通协会科学技术奖一等奖,入选江苏省“六大人才高峰”培养对象。
